Northern Country District Forecast

A low pressure system will deepen over northern Victoria tonight, then move into New South Wales during Friday. The low will then gradually weaken before moving south back across Victoria during Saturday and Tasmania on Sunday. A high pressure system will develop well south of the Bight on Monday and extend a ridge over Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 13 December Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of rain, becoming less likely later tonight. Rain heavy at times. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe with large hail in the southeast. Gusty winds in the southeast. Winds northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening.

Partly cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and early afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm in the south in the morning and afternoon. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending east to northeasterly before dawn then becoming light in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 12 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.
